Custom House Illustration - How It Works
Thinking about ordering a custom house illustration from us, but wondering how it works?
Here's our process once you've completed your transaction.
1. To get started, simply send us the photos you want us to work from. If you've already submitted them through our online form, no need to resend. If you have more photos, please send them as soon as possible.
Please be assured, once we have completed your illustration all photos will be deleted.
2. Let us know if you have any specific instructions, like including a particular plant or changing the colour of your window frames. We don't include bins, solar panels, or aerial dishes. If you want a printed caption included, please inform us; otherwise, it will be left blank.
No request is too large or too little, we love to get as much information as possible so we can create your perfect illustration.
3. Our custom illustrations are meticulously hand-drawn in pencil, then outlined with a fine-liner, and finally painted with delicate watercolours. The lead time for custom illustrations is typically 2-3 weeks, which may vary during peak periods. If you have a specific deadline, please inform us, and we'll do our best to accommodate it.
4. Once the illustration is complete, we'll email you a scanned image. The colours may differ slightly in real life, so this is your chance to make any final requests. Changes may be possible, depending on the nature of the request.
5. After confirming you're happy, we'll carefully package and send your illustration via tracked delivery through Royal Mail.
All illustrations will be packaged flat.
6. Now, it's time to gift it to a lucky recipient or proudly display it to friends and family. If anyone else wants a copy, reprints are available here.
Please note - our illustrations are an artistic interpretation, and may not be proportionally accurate. If details aren't clear in photos, artistic license will be used.
