What Inspired our "Colours of..." Collection
In case you haven't seen our best-selling collection of watercolour prints and cards, here's an overview of what they're all about.
Growing up in the Lake District, inspiration was never too far away, and The Colours of The Lake District seemed like a fun concept for a quick instagram post. We made a small colour palette including a selection of the iconic colours found in the place we call home. This included Grasmere Gingerbread, Red Squirrels, and of course Peter Rabbit! After receiving positive feedback on the post, we were inundated with requests to capture other locations in the same way.
So we did just that. A couple of years later, and the collection is ever-growing. We have the designs available in greetings cards, prints from A5-A2 and even coasters!
We can see why they have been so loved, they are the perfect reminder of home for those who have moved away, a souvenir of a cherished holiday or just to show you're proud of your roots!
We begin by researching different areas of the UK to find out what they're famous for! From Yorkshire tea to Cornish Pasties, every location has something different to offer, and we love to capture that.
