Sustainability

All of the paper used in our products is acid free, recyclable and elemental chlorine free. It’s also 100% FSC certified. This means that the materials used to make it have been ethically sourced from well-managed and sustainable forests, which haven’t been harmed in the process. 

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) helps take care of forests and the people and wildlife who call them home. They certify forests all over the world to ensure they meet the highest environmental and social standards. 

Just one thing that ensures all of our products are carefully and responsibly sourced, and can be purchased with complete confidence that you are helping to ensure our forests are alive for generations to come. 

We ensure our carbon footprint is small. All of our materials, packaging and supplies are bought from the UK, where possible, meaning we don’t run up any huge air miles buying in overseas products. Every product we sell is printed in-house and in small batches to avoid any unnecessary waste. 

Our aim to reduce waste and the consumption of plastic is reflected in our choice of packaging. All of our greetings cards are packaged “naked”, using a low-adhesive card catch sticker to keep the card and envelope secure. Any cellophane used is 100% biodegradable. We reuse any packaging materials we receive and only purchase paper packaging including board backed envelopes, cardboard boxes and paper tape. We encourage our customers to recycle the packing they receive from us.

All of our greetings cards are also offered on plantable seeded paper. This is as eco-friendly as greetings cards can get! You’re giving back to the environment by producing an array of wildflowers and in turn providing bees, butterflies and other pollinators with food throughout the year. Learn more here.
